Blood Moon -- Emmenagogue Tea (serving Angelica, Cedar and Hibiscus)
CURRENT BLEND: ANGELICA, CEDAR AND HIBISCUS :: 32 tbsps ~ 130g
Welcome to Blood Moon -- a carefully crafted emmenagogue tea designed to naturally support reproductive health. With organic botanical ingredients like Angelica Root, Red Cedar and Hibiscus, this tea may support those following fertility awareness methods and as well as to aid in womb release processes.
Organic Orange Peel (or Hibiscus), Western Red Cedar and Angelica root make a delicious, bitter and effective blend in supporting the onset of the menstrual cycle. May be suitable as herbal support for pre and post-menopausal people.
Suggested Use:
1 tbsp per 8oz, steep up to 22 minutes and drink 3 times a day (24 oz) for up to 5 days leading up to your menstruation. Please consult a healthcare provider before beginning a protocol.
How it works:
Thujone is the active constituent sought in herbs for abortifacient properties. Angelica and Mugwort provide uterine contractions to help express the menstruation.
Hibiscus flowers and Mugwort can encourage blood flow to the uterus to help stimulate menstruation.
Vitamin C in Cedar and Orange Peel can help increase estrogen levels in the body.
Notes on toxicity:
Vitamin C Toxicity: possible kidney irritation, loose bowels.
Angelica Root Toxicity: irritant to kidney and liver, not studied as much as pennyroyal. Contraindicated in diabetes as it raises blood sugar levels.
Western Red Cedar: the active volatile oil, Thujone can be toxic at high levels and when used for an extended period
